Organizational Structure of FEB Unud
The governance system of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (FEB Unud), consists of three (3) main elements, namely: 1) organizational structure, 2) Working procedures, which include the duties, functions, and names of personnel, and 3) The implementation of good faculty governance, which encompasses five main principles: credibility, transparency, accountability, responsibility, and fairness. This chapter will sequentially describe the governance system of FEB Unud, starting from the organizational structure, working procedures, personnel names, and the implementation of good faculty governance.
1.1. Organizational Structure

1.2. Working Procedures
The duties and functions of each component within the organizational structure can be described as follows:
1.2.1. Dean
The Dean is responsible for leading the implementation of education and teaching, research, community service, and the development of the academic community within the faculty.
1.2.2. Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning (WD I)
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning assists the Dean in leading the implementation of education, research, community service, and planning within the faculty. The Vice Dean also formulates technical policies and monitors the implementation of academic activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure smooth operations.
1.2.3. Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance (WD II)
The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance assists the Dean in leading the implementation of activities related to general administration and finance within the faculty. The Vice Dean also formulates technical policies and monitors the implementation of general administrative and financial activities based on applicable laws and regulations to ensure the smooth execution of duties.
1.2.4. Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information (WD III)
The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information assists the Dean in leading the implementation of student, alumni, and information system activities within the faculty. The Vice Dean also formulates technical policies and monitors the implementation of student, alumni, and information system activities. In addition, the Vice Dean assists the Dean in planning, implementing, and evaluating partnerships with strategic partners based on applicable regulations to enhance and expand the faculty’s network.
1.2.5. Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is one of the policy-formulating bodies that performs functions of determination and consideration of policy implementation at the faculty level. The Faculty Senate is responsible for providing recommendations and supervision to the Dean in carrying out academic activities within the faculty.
Chairperson of the Senate
The Chairperson of the Senate is responsible for preparing the Senate’s activity program plan during its term of office; proposing the appointment and dismissal of Senate members to the Dean; proposing the appointment and dismissal of commission members; leading and coordinating all Senate activities and duties; leading commission coordination; chairing Senate meetings; and establishing and implementing Senate policies.Secretary of the Senate
The Secretary of the Senate leads the Senate Secretariat; represents the Chairperson when the Chairperson is unavailable; assists the Chairperson in administrative matters; prepares materials or documents for Senate meetings; records and archives meeting minutes; ensures meeting minutes are signed by both the Chairperson and Secretary; and distributes signed meeting decisions to all Senate members.Chairperson of the Commission
The Chairperson of the Commission coordinates commission activities in accordance with their respective duties, leads commission meetings, and reports the results of the commission’s work to the Senate leadership.Secretary of the Commission
The Secretary of the Commission assists the Chairperson in administrative matters; prepares materials for commission meetings; prepares the commission’s reports to be submitted to the Senate leadership; and drafts and recommends the minutes of commission meetings.
1.2.6. Coordinator of Bachelor Study Programs
The Coordinator of Bachelor Study Programs, including Development Economics, Management, and Accounting, is responsible for planning, guiding, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service activities conducted by lecturers within the study program after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, based on applicable regulations.
Additionally, under the coordination of WD II, the Coordinator is responsible for preparing the implementation of general administrative and financial activities, including collecting and managing the mapping of home-base lecturers as program-level implementers, and managing budget allocations at the program level. The Coordinator also coordinates with WD III in planning student activities, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating student welfare and student organization activities at the Bachelor Study Program level (Student Associations/HIMA), as well as managing alumni and information systems within the Bachelor Study Program.
1.2.7. Coordinator of Master Study Programs
The Coordinator of Master Study Programs, including Master of Economics, Master of Management, and Master of Accounting, is responsible for planning, guiding, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service activities at the Master Study Program level after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, based on applicable regulations.
Furthermore, under the coordination of WD II, the Coordinator is responsible for preparing the implementation of general administrative and financial activities, which include collecting and managing the mapping of home-base lecturers and budget allocations at the Master Study Program level. The Coordinator also coordinates with WD III in planning student activities, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating student welfare and student organization activities at the Master Study Program level (Student Associations/HIMA), as well as managing alumni and information systems within the Master Study Program.
1.2.8. Coordinator of Doctoral Study Programs
The Coordinator of Doctoral Study Programs, including the Doctoral Programs in Economics, Management, and Accounting, is responsible for planning, guiding, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service at the Doctoral Program level after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Additionally, under the coordination of WD II, the Coordinator prepares the implementation of general administrative and financial activities, including collecting and managing the mapping of home-base lecturers and budget allocations at the Doctoral Program level. The Coordinator also coordinates with WD III in planning student activities, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating student welfare and student organization activities at the Doctoral Program level (Student Associations/HIMA), as well as managing alumni and information systems within the Doctoral Program.
1.2.9. Coordinator of Diploma III Study Program
The Coordinator of the Diploma III Study Program is responsible for planning, guiding, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service activities within the Diploma III Program after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, in accordance with applicable regulations.
In addition, under the coordination of WD II, the Coordinator is responsible for preparing the implementation of general administrative and financial activities, including collecting and managing the mapping of home-base lecturers and budget allocations at the Diploma III Program level. The Coordinator also coordinates with WD III in planning student activities, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating student welfare and student organization activities at the Program level (Student Associations/HIMA), as well as managing alumni and information systems within the Diploma III Program.
1.2.10. Coordinator of Profession Study Program
The Coordinator of the Profession Study Program is responsible for planning, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service activities in the Accounting Profession Education Program (PPAk) after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, based on applicable regulations to ensure the smooth execution of duties.
In addition, under the coordination of WD II, the Coordinator of the Profession Study Program is responsible for preparing the implementation of activities in the field of general administration and finance, including collecting and managing the mapping of home-base lecturers as program-level implementers, as well as managing budget allocations within the study program. The Coordinator also coordinates with WD III in planning student activities, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of student activities related to student welfare, alumni, and information systems within the Profession Study Program.
1.2.11. Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M)
The Coordinator of UP3M is responsible for assisting the Dean’s Office in the establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement (PPEPP) of matters related to learning and quality assurance at the faculty level.
In general, the duties include providing input for the formulation of the faculty’s strategic plan regarding opportunities and challenges related to learning development and quality assurance; monitoring, completing, and refining quality documents at the faculty level in accordance with the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) policy and Udayana University Standards; conducting faculty-level monitoring and evaluation (monev) in relevant areas; and coordinating monev implementation by study programs to ensure that all learning activities are carried out in accordance with SPMI policies, Udayana University Standards, and the Faculty of Economics and Business Standards.
1.2.12. Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M)
The Coordinator of UP2M is responsible for assisting the Dean’s Office in the establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement (PPEPP) of matters related to research and community service at the faculty level in accordance with Udayana University Standards and the Faculty of Economics and Business Standards.
1.2.13. Coordinator of the Information and Collaboration Management Unit (UPIKS)
The Coordinator of UPIKS is responsible for developing and/or maintaining academic information and communication systems, financial/budget planning systems, human resources information systems, and general equipment/asset information systems within FEB Unud.
The Coordinator also develops guidelines for the application, utilization, and management of information and communication systems; executes tasks assigned by the Dean related to comprehensive information and communication system planning within FEB Unud in line with faculty policy implementation; plans and conducts computer application education and training for students; carries out studies and research on the implementation of computer applications; and performs other duties assigned by the Dean related to system planning, control, and supervision mechanisms.
1.2.14. Coordinator of the International Business Studies Network Program (Non-Study Program)
The Coordinator of the FEB-IBSN Program is responsible for planning, providing guidance, coordinating, and evaluating the implementation of education and teaching activities for international students under the IBSN Program after coordination with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, based on applicable regulations to ensure the smooth execution of duties.
1.2.15. Administrative Office (TU)
Based on the Regulation of the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) No. 28 of 2019 concerning the Alignment of Administrative Positions into Functional Positions—subsequently revoked by Regulation No. 17 of 2021 on the same matter—all administrative positions at the level of Head of Division and Head of Subdivision were abolished and aligned into functional positions.
However, as the functions of these positions remain essential, the Rector of Udayana University issued Decree No. 1324/UN14/HK.KP/2021 concerning Coordinators and Sub-Coordinators, which essentially assigns similar functions to those of Heads of Divisions and Heads of Subdivisions. Accordingly, the Head of Division is now referred to as the Coordinator, and the Head of Subdivision as the Sub-Coordinator.
Coordinator of Administrative Office (KTU)
The Coordinator of Administrative Office (KTU) is responsible for implementing academic and student services as well as planning, finance, human resources, administration, housekeeping, asset management, and reporting within the faculty.Sub-Coordinators (Subkor)
a. Education and Cooperation
The Sub-Coordinator for Education and Cooperation is responsible for services related to education, research, community service, and cooperation activities.
b. General Affairs and Finance
The Sub-Coordinator for General Affairs and Finance is responsible for handling financial management, human resources, administration, housekeeping, state-owned asset management, and reporting within the faculty.
c. Planning and Information Systems
The Sub-Coordinator for Planning and Information Systems is responsible for planning, managing data and information, and conducting evaluation activities within the faculty.
d. Student Affairs
The Sub-Coordinator for Student Affairs is responsible for handling student and alumni services within the faculty.
1.2.16. Educational Support Units
Head of Laboratory
The Head of Laboratory is responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring, and evaluating the availability of facilities, infrastructure, and activities within the laboratory; establishing cooperation with external parties for resource sharing and laboratory empowerment; and periodically reporting laboratory management activities to the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance and the Dean of FEB Unud.Head of Scientific Journal
The Head of Scientific Journal of FEB Unud is responsible for managing the publication process of scientific journals under the faculty/department; maintaining the quality of the journals; preparing journal accreditation; and periodically reporting the journal’s development to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning and the Dean of FEB Unud.Head of Business Unit
The Head of Business Unit is responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating, and reporting business management activities of FEB Unud to the Dean and the Rector through the University Business Management Agency.Technical Teams
a. Faculty Academic Rank Assessment Team (JAD)
The Chair of the Faculty Academic Rank Assessment Team, together with its members, is responsible for evaluating lecturers’ achievements as one of the requirements for career development in functional positions and/or rank promotion.
b. Faculty Scientific Work Validation Team
The Chair of the Faculty Scientific Work Validation Team, together with its members, is responsible for evaluating lecturers’ scientific publications in nationally accredited (Sinta) journals and reputable international journals (Scopus and WoS), which are used as one of the requirements for career development in functional positions and/or rank promotion.
c. Quality Assurance Implementation Team (TPPM)
The TPPM at the study program level is responsible for planning and implementing the academic quality assurance system, preparing necessary instruments, monitoring, conducting audits and evaluations, and periodically reporting the implementation of academic quality assurance at the end of each semester.
d. Media Publication Implementation Team
The Media Publication Implementation Team is responsible for editing, layouting, and publishing materials on FEB Unud’s publication channels, and reporting media publication activities within the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, to the Dean.
e. Cooperation Implementation Team
The Cooperation Implementation Team is responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating, and reporting the implementation of cooperation activities of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, to the Dean.
f. Socialization and Promotion Team
The Socialization and Promotion Team of FEB Unud is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating socialization and promotion activities through various media and events, both internal and external, to enhance the faculty’s image, introduce study programs, achievements, and excellence, and attract prospective students and strategic partners.
g. Internationalization Affairs Team
The Internationalization Affairs Team of FEB Unud is responsible for coordinating and implementing international collaboration programs, student and faculty exchanges, global curriculum development, increasing collaborative research and publications with foreign partners, and promoting the faculty’s international reputation and network to support the vision of becoming a globally recognized faculty.
